Dating and Children

It seems that it is common in our day to meet divorced women and men who have children from previous marriage or marriages. Nothing strange there. However, the one thing that strikes me as strange is meeting those divorced individuals who refuse to date other divorced parents with children. Why is that? Is there a feeling of jealousy? Do they want their kids to be the only ones getting all the attention? Probably, I am reading the situation wrong.

Have We Ever Really Loved A Woman?

We men tend to complain that women can drive us nuts. However, they are the most beautiful creatures the Good Lord has put on this earth for us to enjoy and admire. The question we sincerely need to answer is whether or not we've ever really loved a woman the way she should be loved.

Enjoy this Beautiful Song

Certain songs speak to how you feel. This is one of those songs.

Mark Hughes and Manchester City

After today's defeat, it appears that Mark Hughes might be on the brink of being replaced as the head coach of Machester City. It is truly sad that being the wealthiest team in the English Premier League does not mean you can actually compete at the same level as the other teams.

It is even sadder when you are now facing relegation and those teams recently promoted are sitting in the table higher that you are.

Sex or Making Love

In these days and times, it is easy to blur the line between sex and making love. Society has made us to do so. We find ourselves not being able to distinguish the difference between the two.

To me, sex is the mere physical act of just finding pleasure for the sake of pleasure. It is done because it feels good. It brings us a certain level of satisfaction. Making love, well, is a different story.

I make love because I care for and about someone. She is a special person in my life. I do not make love for the sake of physical satisfaction. I make love because I feel close to that someone. She makes me feel good as a man, as a person. We connect on diferent levels.

But we need to keep in mind one thing: we should not make love to someone. We should make love with someone.

And you? Which of the two do you like better?

The Special One

There are times when I want to have someone special. Someone with whom I cam spend time doing things we both enjoy: taking a drive up the coast, visiting an amusement park, having breakfast/dinner, visiting other places, staying in bed on a Sunday morning watching TV or making love all day. And yet, here I am-- single and alone.

I know I have so much love to give and share with someone. I want to hold her hand, hold her in my arms as we fall asleep together after a night of fun and excitement. I want her face to be the first face I see in the morning when I wake up. And yet, here I am-- single and alone.

I am willing to bet that I am not the only facing the same dating or relationship issues. I am certain that there are more people like me.

How To Ask Her Out? - Awesome video clips here

Flaky People

At any point in our lives, we all have visited or signed up to be members of various dating sites in the hope of meeting and falling in love with that special one. However, if you are like me, I am sure you have met people who have turned out to be flaky.

You chat and e-mail each other for days. When you are about to meet, you get that dreadful call telling you that something has come up and that "special one" is unable to meet. Or how about finally meeting but never hearing back from the person? It does not matter how long you wait or how many phone calls you make, still that response/reply never materializes.

No question that honesty is and should be the key to any relationship. It is better for the person to be honest and say that he or she is no longer interested.

Just my thoughts.

Lonely or Alone

At one point or another, we have heard others say that they feel alone or lonely. In an almost obliged sentiment, we nod our heads indicating that we understand what they are saying. But do we really?

Do we really understand what others are saying, are trying to communicate to us? Or do we nod just because it is the polite thing to do or our way of saying, "shut up and move on"?

This type of attitude really begs the question as to whether or not we have become so shallow, emotionally detached from others. All we care is about how and what we feel ourselves. Isn't this what drives us to become alone and lonely in the first place?

Humans are not created to be animals that live away from others. Humans are created to be in the company of others. That's how we complement each other at every level of our humanity.

Bernd Schuster, Juande Ramos and Real Madrid

Well, my friends, as expected, Real Madrid (RM) announced today that the Club and Schuster had reached a "mutual agreement" and that Schuster had been replaced by Ramos. Yeah, that same Ramos who could not get Tottenham from the bottom of the English Premier League. I don't know about you but it feels to me that something is intrinsically wrong here.

RM let go of a coach under whose supervision and watchful eye the club became Champion of La Liga during the 2007-2008 season. This is the same club that in that season pretty much trashed every team, including Barca. No question that this time around RM has not performed at the same level as last year.

It is true that a number of injuries has hit the team and no one can dispute that. It is clear that the team has some of the best and most brilliant players the beautiful game has seen in recent years. However, those healthy ones have unfortunately been sub-par at best. For example, it was Casillas' error that gave Sevilla its first goal of the game on Sunday, December 7. It was Marcelo's carelessness that created a situation where Sevilla through a beautiful pass from Kanute to Renato put away the game.

Now, RM's Directors want to bring in Juande Ramos. This is the same guy who could not get Tottenham to respond, even with the team facing relegation. Maybe, I am being too harsh here regarding Ramos. Maybe, he will be able to turn this ship (RM) around before it sinks deeper. Nevertheless, nothing can or will change if those on the pitch wearing the RM's jersey do not change.

If RM continues down the same path of self-destruction, then it will be as clear as daylight that Schuster was not the problem. It will be time for each and every player to examine himself and determine whether RM is the right place for him.

Racism in La Liga Part II

The second part to the video on Racism and La Liga

Racism in La Liga

There has been much talk about racism and La Liga. It is truly appalling and pathetic that a few bad apples give the beautiful game a bad name in a league such as La Liga. It is time for FIFA, UEFA and La Liga to take strict and harsh action, even it means having to fine the clubs big time-- financially and playing time.

In doing so, it is only then that the teams themselves will take matters into their own hands. There is no place for racist attitudes in any sport. Period.

Real Madrid's Woes

After today's defeat against Sevilla, Real Madrid's woes continue. This team seems like a ship with no captain at the helm. Pundits and commentators alike have attempted to blame the constant injuries for the lack of form. Real Madrid possesses some of the best players who play the beautiful game and get rewarded handily for it. This is NOT Levante. So there is no excuse for playing the way it has been playing as of late.

Much has been rumored about the future of Bernd Schuster as RM Coach, which begs the question: Is it time to let go of him?

I guess Casillas' picture says it all...

Spain and World Cup

The Spanish Federation has announced its intention to launch a bid for the 2018 World Cup. Given the fact that Spain became Euro 2008 Champions, the Spanish Federation might think that it is a good time to bid for the Cup.

What do you think?

The English Premier League and Standings

Sixteen (16) games into the season and there have been some interesting surprises from those recently promoted to the Top Flight. For example, Hull has been performing superbly. Who would have thought that Giovanni, who was released by Manchester City, has turned out an outstanding asset for Hull? However, West Brom needs to tighten up its ship or might be relegated back to the Championship.

What is your take on the current standings? Are you surprised?
